The City of Light is a city of entertainment. Because of its rich cultural heritage it is also known as the worlds largest museum, but apart from that it has so much more to offer!

From Paris Bar to Paris Club

Paris has an excellent bar and club scene that will satisfy even the most exotic tastes. Jump into Paris' nightlife, it has something for everybody. Go to Le Fumoir, a nice retro bar which is also a library in the afternoon and a cafe in the summer. If you like wine, you will like Willi's Wine Bar. They serve excellent wine, mostly french but also cosmopolitan, and a modern, mediterranean cuisine that changes seasonaly.

La Loco is an underground club, the largest of Paris, that parties through the night with electronic music, House, R'n'B, Groove and also Metal dominate the ears. You can shake your booty every evening at the Bus Palladium in a nice retro interior furnished with red leather benches and papered velvet walls.

For hot electro sounds go to the Rex Club, right under the Rex cinema. Almost every day an other DJ is invited, and with the new multi-diffusion system D&B they installed, an unforgettable night is guaranted!

Paris Culture

Paris is famous for its outstanding theater, which are themselves a sight to see and offer world-class shows and plays. The Théâtre de la Comédie Française is a nice historical theater which offers traditional performances.

The Olympia Hall is a renowned theater were the gratest names in French music like Piaf or Montand have performed. Those who are into more spicy entertainment should go to the Crazy Horse. Beautiful almost nude dancers are performing extravagant shows that will definitely get your "attention"."

Paris Attractions Nightlife Moulin Rouge

You were not in Paris if you haven't been to the classy Moulin Rouge. It became known through its famous Can-Can dancers and movies were it played a major part.

Since 1946, the Lido performs fantastic shows of astonishing beauty and perfect choreography while serving the awestruck audience delicious meals and, of course, champagner.

If you prefer it more classical, visit the Salle Pleyel, a major concert hall in Paris where the big players of classical music will entertain you. Ballet, opera and concerts can be seen at the Opéra Bastille, a beautiful contemporary building that provides entertainment from the outside as well as in the inside.

At the Louvre des Antiquaires you can brush through a wide selection of antique items, some of them available for purchase. The EDF Foundation organises a vast variety of different events about sports, art and nature, and is active throughout the year.

Paris Plages

The Paris Plages(Beaches) and all the greenery become car-free resorts. It starts on the 20 July and lasts for about 4 weeks, and is really a highlight to enjoy. The beaches around the Seine become sandy places to relax, play volleyball, do aquagym, kayak or enjoy concerts. The beaches are spread from Louvre to Pont de Sully, Port de la Gare and Bassin de la Villete.

From Louvre to Pont de Sully, about 3 kilometers, you can enjoy the concerts, swimming pools, deck chairs and refreshment areas. Port de la Gare is for the more free minded, with free newspapers, books on loan, art classes, a café and a wi-fi hotspot. Bassin de la Villete provides different kinds of watersports and restaurants

Paris Night at the Museum

This France-wide event takes place one night in may, and Paris is no exception of course. The museums are opened and entertain the visitors with special exhibitions, workshops, readings and famous guests. Nuit des Musées changes the night into day and awakens the artist in everyone of us!

Paris White Night

The Nuit Blanche started first in 2002 and is basically and art show that covers almost all the important and famous, but also the not so famous parts of the city. It is about contemporary art and the general themes and locations change every year. Usually in October, Nuit Blanche is an attraction for everybody who is into art or just wants to have a crazy night out apart from the usual nightlife in Paris.

The Paris Heritage Days take place every third weekend of September, and are a very special event in Paris. Only on this weekend important historical monuments, usually off limits for mere humans, open their doors for everyone to visit.

You can see the Palais de l’Elysée, where France's president resides, the Sénat, Hôtel de Ville and other famous sites are free of charge for everyone to enjoy. Paris provides a map which will lead you on a historic trail where you really get to know Paris, also museums organize free workshops and special exhibitions. A must for every devoted Paris-fan!
