Old Town Centre, Milan
The Old Town Centre is in the heart of Milan where you can find hundreds of monuments, museums, meeting houses and green areas. Here you can visit the Milan Cathedral, the Arco della Pace, Saint Ambrose Church, the Sforza castle and Saint Babila Church.
If you want to go shopping you can reach the fashion streets of Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, Corso Buenos Aires and the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery.
The Navigli was a system of navigable canals in the city which enabled people to reach Milan through the river Ticino and Adda, to improve freight and trading traffic of the city.
Nowadays the Navigli is in the young area of the city where you can find a lot of pubs, restaurants and clubs in a really friendly and warm atmosphere.
This area is one of the main tourist and entertainment ones of Milan. On every street, at every corner, you can find a subway station that offers transportation all throughout Milan.
Milan Chinatown is the biggest and the most ancient Chinatown in Italy, and the second in Europe after Paris.
Chinatown is settled in the Canonico Sarpi area and it was born in 1920 by some Chinese immigrates skilled in dry good manufacturing.
This is a real city within the city of Milan, with a lot of shops, Chinese restaurants and editorial offices of Chinese newspapers, such as the Europe China News.
A great occasion to visit this area of Milan is on Chinese New Year's day when you will see amazing dragoons on parade in the streets of Chinatown.
Milano 2 is the new Milan modern area, a satellite town, built in 1970, with the contribution of the Mediaset Company, one of the major ones in Italy. Milano 2 hosts the Saint Rafael University Hospital, Palazzo dei Cigni and a lot of residential areas.
Milan Fair is one of the biggest fair areas in Europe and it is split into two buildings, Fieramilano and Fieramialnocity.
Fieramilano is located out of Milan, in the Metropolitan area, in Rho, very easy to reach with the underground, line M1. In this fair building you will find exhibitions such as the BOJOX (trinkets show).
Fieramilanocity is placed in the centre of Milan and it is in the historic building of Milan fair. There you can find all kinds of exhibitions, shows and events, for example the SMAO (Informatics and Communications technology International show) and the CARTOONS (Cartoons, video-games, collecting show).
Milan fair can be visited only during events and shows.
